1. Let two layers of fluid be dragged along by motion of an upper plate as shown in Fig. The bottom plate is stationary. The top fluid puts a shear stress on the upper plate, and the lower fluid puts a shear stress on the bottom plate. Determine the ratio of these two shear stresses. (20%)
2. A tank wall has the shape shown in Fig. Determine the horizontal and vertical components of force of the water on a 1-ft-width (normal to the figure) of the curved section AB. (20%)
